Gifts of Real Estate

If you wish to give a gift to ministry but do not have the money immediately available, consider making a gift of unused real estate such as a home, a vacation property, farmland, or commercial real estate.

Benefits of giving this gift type through the Foundation:

  • Eliminate the need to sell the property yourself and the burden of property taxes
  • Help smaller ministries that cannot handle gifts of real estate on their own
  • Receive a charitable income tax deduction based on the appraised value

How to Make a Gift of Real Estate

You can give your property through the Foundation by signing a deed transferring ownership. You may deed part or all of your property, and we will value the gift based on its fair market value (determined by an independent appraisal). Once we sell the property, we'll turn over the proceeds to the church or ministry that you designated.

**Note: Because certain properties pose challenges, we have adopted policies to limit the acceptance of certain kinds of real estate. Please contact us before making a gift of real estate so we can explain our gift acceptance policies.
