Gifts of Retirement Assets

Did you know that 60%-70% of your retirement assets may be taxed if you leave them to your family at your death? To avoid this, give your remaining IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or pension assets to ministry and leave other assets, such as real estate or stock, to your heirs.

Benefits of giving this gift type through the Foundation:

  • Avoid heavy taxes on your hard-earned savings
  • Receive an estate tax charitable deduction
  • Care for your loved ones and ministry with your estate plan

How to Make a Gift of Retirement Assets

This type of gift is easy and requires no legal assistance. All you have to do is complete a beneficiary designation form provided by your retirement plan custodian. Then, contact us to discuss where you would like us to distribute those funds upon your passing. If the Foundation is named beneficiary, none of your savings will be taxed and the full amount can be given to ministry.
